walking to my morning bus earlier today and almost stepped on a dog that had been run over by a car. its blue-red intestines where all over the ground next to it. man, good thing i didn´t step on, it would have totally ruined my new gucci flipflops.

...yeah, its pretty bad, but i´m proud of it cause i didn´t think of it...my subconscious did. I woke up two days ago and realized i´d thought of it in my sleep. Use it as an excuse to yell "hoe" in public.

boredom

i took 3 hours of the most impressively boring spanish class this week. I thought i knew all the tenses in spanish, but NOOOOO, this guy had to tell me there were 3 more that i´d never heard of. fuck him.

i realized during the class that i was bored and that it was an emotional response rare in my life and that made me happy. i remember college, sitting in a class, just waiting for it to end. what is that? waiting for moments of our life to be over?

bucky tubes

the future my friends. Hanging out in Xela last week I met Jon. Jon is considering working for Carbon Nanotechnologies Inc. this summer and told me all about Bucky tubes (named after our favorite nobel prize winner Buckminster Fuller ).

Bucky tubes, my friends. Nope, they`re not an experiment to grow armies of Buckminster Fullers in test tubes (unfortunately, i know). Bucky tubes are super strong and superduper small. smaller than shin`s mom`s penis.

Point is, Jon was telling me that if we could make bucky tubes real long-like, and then braid them together, we could then tether them to some fixed spot (preferably along the equator) and rig up a land-to-space elevator, used to bring spacecraft and satellites into space. Sounds outlandish right? but not at all impossible, because the NIAC is funding ideas like this .

I´m a productive member of society

...and i say that because of the amount of shit i´ve gotten done in the past 6 days. Got a new sign for the school designed, had the shirts made and they good. even got a school stamp made! next we start on the lingerie line "Escuela Secret". Got a good ring to it, yeah?

plus I talked to this spanish school here and we´re talking about forming some sort of association between the two schools, so spanish students can get a "city" experience and a "rural" experience.

saw a goat tied to the bottom of a street post by its horns yesterday. Tied so tightly it couldn´t even stand up. The image is sticking with me.

Had a walk the other night. Just me and my MD player walkin through the sketchy parts of Xela blasting some good hiphop. Made my way back to the town center (Parque Central) to buy some water at the corner liquor store. A tv inside was playing the Bourne Identity, which I kinda like, so I asked he kid behind the counter if i could watch and he said yeah. So we´re sitting there, watching, and its like this crazy car chase scene in paris and the kid, whó´s 18 years old, asks me "Es real?" (is this real?), and i had to explain that, unfortunately, most of the movies he sees from the US are in fact, ficional.

We got a talkin and i asked him if he likes hiphop and would he want to listen to some on my MD player. He got all excited when i handed it to him across the counter. He unplugged the discman attached to this nice big stereo system the place had and plugged in my MD player and the next thing i know, the corner liquor store in Xela is blastin "I GET HIGH HIGH HIGH everyday. I GET HIGH HIGH HIGH every night." yeah, you know the song. Wish you coulda been there.
