a whole new world

damn, world! i feel like i`m part of a whole new community! my friend rachael from good ole Vassa starts a blog, and then its got a link to friend Jenny`s blog, and people like Lauren Thorgesson, who i actually was never good friends with in college, but, i mean, i know her! and she has a blog! think of the possibilities! no, man, put down that damn apple and think!

friend Anna (for those of you who know, the anna we got kicked out of the hot tub with at shin´s mom´s (OH!) apartment building) and i went to see Harry potter last night. two nights ago we saw Spiderman 2 at this theatre and ended up getting locked in the mall with the lights off. yeah, that was funny.

so last night we´re watching the prisoner of assturnedbun or something and an hour into the film the power goes out. I mean, these guiatemalans have figured out how to emulate the US in certain small enclaves, like the malls that sparcely populate the country, but its just for show. The electricity still goes out regularly, and its just weird walking around a mall that could be in Salt lake, seeing poor Mayan families strolling by, babies strapped on mother´s back, wide eyed at all the things the money they don´t have can buy.

i´m working on this new technology to slow down time. So far its just some sticks and a pine cone stuck together with masking tape. but i got big plans for this one.
